Week 35 has finally ended (not loving these Thursday night fixtures) and there’s contrasting fortunes for our big scorers from last week. Lou’s team has secured top score of the week with 82 points, that wildcard still paying dividends despite a drop in form for her Crystal Palace contingent, who had proved so crucial in the previous week. This week it was the turn of her Newcastle players to step up to the plate, with Gordon and Isak both netting some good points along with Josko Gvardiol hauling 15 points, it could have been even better as Kai Havertz remains sitting on her bench with a tidy 13 points. Two teams shared the second best score of the week on 81 points, Christian and Angelo the two in question. Christian has played his wildcard and has profited immediately, Chelsea’s ‘keeper Petrovic keeping a clean sheet against Spurs and netting 2 bonus points was crucial after dismissing David Raya amongst the changes, the switch from Salah to Son was also profitable despite the Spurs captain’s lacklustre performance against Chelsea, those two Newcastle men feature again and appear essential if Newcastle have a home fixture. Angelo has put his faith in Chelsea assets and they have rewarded him so far, Conor Gallagher, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson all returning good numbers, captain Son and that man Kai Havertz bringing home the bacon to help Angelo close in on top spot. Adam’s lead at the top has shrunk to just 30 points after he took an 8 point hit to make 3 changes leaving him on a net weekly score of just 46 points. It’s going to be extremely tense at the top over the next 3 gameweeks.
