The penultimate Gameweek of the season has concluded and no fewer than 16 teams in our league scored over 100 points, there were however, 3 teams ahead of the rest. Top of the lot was Lou on 143 with the help of a Bench Boost chip. Lou has closed the gap on the top two nicely thanks to essential picks like Josko Gvardiol who netted 27 points over the gameweek for his owners, old reliable Erling Haaland, she captained Cole Palmer who delivered her 28 points, and a swathe of others contributing with only Son Heung-Min, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Dean Henderson disappointing. Second top scorer on the week was Luciano with 138, also on Bench Boost, he also captained Palmer, had Gvardiol and rounded out the Manchester City allocation with Kevin De Bruyne (12 points) and Phil Foden (11 points), some nice returns from his double Arsenal defence despite them only having the one game. Our third best score of the week came from Phil, who also played his Bench Boost chip, he went differential and captained Erling Haaland for 30 points and chose Kyle Walker (13 points) and Bernardo Silva (13 points) as his Man City representatives. He managed to find the gold amongst the ahem in the Manchester United squad by having Kobbie Mainoo (11 points) and Rasmus Hojlund (8 points). So we go into the final week with Adam on top, 43 points clear of Angelo in second and Lou Isaac in third a further 26 points behind. There’ll be some individual battles up and down the league over bragging rights but there is also a cup final to be played between Christian Barclay and Lou Isaac for the final honour of the season.
