23/24 Gameweek 38

Gameweek 38 is over and with it, the season. Our final table has Adam at the top as expected, he’s spent a long time there and has held his nerve through to the end. Throughout the season he’s made some bold choices, going without Haaland for some time, not been afraid to take a few point hits and was early on the Cole (Palmer) Train. History has shown the weight of champion bears heavy in the following season so it will be interesting to see if he can buck that particular trend. A fantastic debut season for Angelo finishing second and a strong finish to the season from Lou sees her end third. Previous champion Fraser ended fourth and Christian managed to club two seals on his way to fifth.

Our final top scorer of the week was Andy who seems to have got the hang of it finally, one to watch for next season, he chose the right week to captain Phil Foden as his two goals helped Manchester City to the league title in their penultimate season in the Premier League 🙂 Second top score of the week was for Joel on 85, Pedro Porro finishing the season well with a 14 pointer was a handy member of his squad. Our first and third placed finishers had joint third best score of the week with 83, Crystal Palace’s strong end to the season finished with a 5-0 home victory over Aston Villa and both Adam and Lou benefited with points from Eze and Mateta respectively.

Our Cup final was played between Christian and Lou, with Lou claiming victory as Christian was left cursing his bench choices and a -4 hit which could have proved decisive in the end.

A huge thank you to all our participants, even those who got fed up half way through 🙂 We’ll be back next season hoping for an even more competitive league.
