24/25 Gameweek 6

It’s all change at the top as Will drops to third and Nathan regains top spot and Lou moves up to second. Luciano drops down to 4th and is now two points ahead of his fellow American, Luis, who top scored on the week with 94. Luis is determined to remain Haaland-less throughout the season and was rewarded by sticking with Mo Salah who he had as captain. Goals for Semenyo, Mbeumo, Havertz and Watkins all helped but it was the performance of Cole Palmer that really rocketed him up the league as he bagged 4 goals in twenty minutes and hauled 25 points alone. Our second highest scorer of the week was Gary on 91 who had the foresight (luck) to captain Palmer and had Watkins, Solanke and a couple of clean sheets for Andersen of Fulham and Romero of Spurs. Next up it was Scott with 87 and the familiar bunch of Palmer, Watkins, Semenyo, Havertz and Salah joined by Marc Guehi of Palace at the back scoring his first goal since April of 2023.

Twenty-three of our managers managed to meet or beat the average for the week and there were three Wildcards played along with a Free Hit. A further five managers chose to take a four point hit to make transfers.

The European competitions return this midweek with Arsenal facing PSG at home and Man City traveling to Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday. On Wednesday Aston Villa face Bayern Munich at home and Liverpool entertain Bologna. Thursday sees Spurs away at Ferencvaros while Man Utd are off to FC Porto and Chelsea face Gent at home. Domestically, Newcastle are playing their postponed and reversed fixture in the EFL Cup against AFC Wimbledon at home.
