24/25 Gameweek 12

Another solid week for Nathan to maintain top spot, scoring 70 points, thanks to a clean sheet in goal for Jordan Pickford along with goals and assists for Nicolas Jackson, Matheus Cunha, and captain Mo Salah. Our top scorer of the week, David with 79, moved up to second place, points from captain Salah and Cunha were added to by Bukayo Saka’s goal and assist and Pedro Porro’s somewhat unexpected goal and clean sheet for Spurs at Man City. The trio of Salah, Saka and Cunha were also present in third placed Luciano’s team as he scored 64.

We had a Bench Boost played by Mark’s Ploppy FC for 58 points, a Wildcard for Phil’s team, Taylor Made which now has Haaland and Salah in it. Finally Kelly’s Heroes played the Triple Captain chip on Mo Salah for a nice return which largely offset the 20 point hit he took on making transfers. Two teams also took 4 point hits to make changes, no surprise that one of them was Kev, the other being Neil.

It’s the return of European fixtures in midweek with Man City hosting Feyenoord and Arsenal traveling to Lisbon to play Sporting on Tuesday evening. Wednesday’s fixtures see Aston Villa host Juventus while Liverpool welcome Real Madrid to Anfield. On Thursday more home fixtures for Man Utd against Bodo/Glimt and Spurs versus Roma in the Europa League while Chelsea’s B team are off to Germany to play FC Heidenheim in the Conference League. The Premier League returns on Friday night with Brighton versus Southampton, which looks like it could have a few goals in it.
