As Everton v Liverpool got postponed due to Storm Darragh, several managers suffered to varying degrees. Some made transfers they hadn’t been planning to make, while others were forced to ride it out and hope for the best. Our leader Luciano was one of those to suffer, his quartet of Everton and Liverpool players certainly did not help him on his way to 38 points, luckily for him Cole Palmer stepped up to deliver 18 points and Chris Wood netted for 8, unfortunately he had the armband on Mo Salah and his vice captain Bukayo Saka had a goal ruled out for offside in the build up. Second placed Nathan also scored 38 but it was Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo that gave him his points, his vice captain Joao Pedro also failing to to step up in Salah’s absence. Third placed David had it slightly better with 44 points, the combo of Palmer and Wood added to with points from Marc Cucurella and Kai Havertz. Daisy Read managed to outdo everybody else with a score of 69 thanks to returns from Palmer, Jadon Sancho, Ezri Konsa, Erling Haaland (yes, really), Alexander Isak, Callum Hudson-Odoi and captain Dominic Solanke.
Neil and Adam both opted for a four point hit with Neil finally removing Haaland and bringing in Salah at just the right (wrong) time.
As stated in the previous blog, it’s European midweek with a few Premier League teams playing across Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Premier League returns on Saturday at 15:00
