Nathan hits the top once again and is the first player to break the 1000 point barrier in our league. He scored a decent 70 points thanks largely to Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha and Nicolas Jackson scoring 9 points each, and a solid defensive performance from Jordan Pickford, Tino Livramento, Jurien Timber and Josko Gvardiol. Luciano dropped to second but scored an above average 55. He had Mo Salah as captain for ten points, also had Cunha and Gvardiol alongside Alexander Isak who returned 11 points. David remains third scoring 60 points with a bumper return of 15 points from Lewis Hall, other returns for Salah, Cunha, Pedro Porro, David Raya and a slightly disappointing 5 points from Marc Cucurella who was on for a major haul before Chelsea conceded late on and he managed to get himself sent off after the final whistle. Top score of the week went to i11usiveMan who played his Bench Boost for 80 points. He had returns from Porro, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, Fernandes, Jackson, Cunha and captain Salah.
Three other managers chose to Bench Boost, Luis (62 points), Joel (52) and Tim (54-4). There were Free Hits for Andy and Pilch both scoring 47 points. Finally Jake played his Triple Captain chip on Salah and is probably disappointed with a 15 point return. Christian, Neil, Phil and Tim all took a 4 point hit to make transfers and Fraser went wild and took -8 to get Salah in but lost out on returns from Gabriel and Gvardiol as a result, oh well.
Eight teams are involved in the EFL Cup Quarter Finals midweek, Arsenal take on Crystal Palace, Newcastle play Brentford, and Southampton play Liverpool on Wednesday night and it’s Spurs versus Man United on Thursday.
