The top two have switched places with Luciano taking over from Nathan with a score of 57 for the week, three points below the average. Points came from captain Mo Salah, Bruno Fernandes, Cole Palmer, Chris Wood and Alexander Isak. Nathan scored only 50 for the week with his points coming from captain Salah, Fernandes, Palmer, Isak and a few from Jordan Pickford for making 7 saves but no clean sheet. Luis moves up to third with a fine 76 points on the week thanks largely to Matz Sels, Ola Aina, Anthony Gordon, Bryan Mbeumo, captain Salah, Palmer and Isak. In fourth place now sits Joel, a mere two points from top and only ten points cover the top six teams. Six teams scored 80 or more and the award for highest score of the week goes to i11usiveMan who as been on a nice run recently. His points coming from Aina and Milenkovic of Forest at the back, a midfield of captain Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo, Gordon and Amad Diallo, and the strikers also returned with Chris Wood and Alexander Isak both scoring.
The only chip played was Neil’s second and final Wildcard, first week delivered 76 points which is definitely an improvement on recent scores. Could it be a master stroke or a disaster class, only time will tell. One team took a four point hit to make changes and it was our new leader Luciano.
A short break from Premier League action at the weekend with the FA Cup taking centre stage. All Premier League teams will be involved but there will be at least two missing from round four as Arsenal entertain Man United on Sunday and Aston Villa take on West Ham on Friday night in Graham Potter’s first game in charge. Everton have parted ways with Sean Dyche and have put Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman in charge for their FA Cup game on Thursday night against Peterborough. Premier League action returns on Tuesday night with all teams playing across three days midweek.
