24/25 Gameweek 23

No change in places for the top nine teams as the top seven all scored under the average for the week thanks in large to under performance of some of the highly owned assets with only Mo Salah, Alexander Isak and Bryan Mbeumo returning for them. The big scores this week came from outside the top ten of last week, Adam moved into the top ten with a score of 78, the likes of David Raya, Milos Kerkez and Cody Gakpo moving him up the table. Mark’s Ploppy FC also moved up after scoring 84, Gabriel and Gvardiol at the back in addition to in form Bournemouth assets, Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert delivering nicely. Tim’s Kelly’s Heroes scored 81 with a very similar set up to Mark, but the biggest score of the week came from Phil’s Taylor Made with 86 points, coming from Raya, Gvardiol, Pedro Porro, Semenyo, captain Salah, Isak and Gakpo.

Only one chip was played this week and it was Chris that plumped for his second Wildcard and a slightly above average 60 points. Up near the top Luciano took a four point hit to leave him with a net gain of 49 for the week. Speaking of chips the new Assistant Manager chip becomes available from this week onward. With Everton and Liverpool playing twice this gameweek, will someone be tempted to play it now?

Before the next set of fixtures there’s the small matter of the final Champion’s League group games that all kick off at 20:00 GMT on Wednesday featuring Aston Villa at home to Celtic, Arsenal away at Girona, Man City at home to Club Brugge and Liverpool away at PSV Eindhoven. Thursday sees the Europa League group phase conclude with Man Utd away at FCSB and Spurs at home to Elfsborg. The next gameweek is a long one thanks to the re-arranged Everton versus Liverpool game being played on Wednesday 12th Feb which has both EFL Cup semi-finals (featuring Newcastle v Arsenal and Liverpool v Spurs) and the fourth round of the FA Cup in between that and the main week 23 fixtures over the weekend of 1st to 3rd February.
