24/25 Gameweek 24

We have a new leader after this extended gameweek as Luciano notches the second best score of the week (146) and moves ahead of David. Luciano played the Triple Captain chip on Mo Salah and was rewarded with a huge 87 points from the main man this season. Chris Wood chipped in with a further 17, and Daniel Munoz returned 11 alongside smaller contributions from Dean Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cody Gakpo. It was Gary that truly knocked it out of the park as he scored 158, he also played the Triple Captain chip on Salah, also had Wood, Palmer and Munoz, and had another haul of 16 from Morgan Gibbs-White with a few smaller scores from Ibrahima Konate and Ola Aina. Nicely Done. Third highest scorer was Joel who moved up to third with a score of 145 for the week. He played the new Assistant Manager chip on David Moyes and was rewarded with 22 for week 24 and now has another two gameweeks with that chip active. He did also captain Salah, had Trent, Palmer, Munoz and Wood with additional points coming from Allison Becker and Iliman Ndiaye. It was a pretty good week all round for the league as 24 of our teams beat the average of 87.

A total of eighteen teams played chips in week 24, Dave played a Wildcard for 115. Seven teams played the Triple Captain chip, six of them went with the correct choice of Mo Salah (Gary 158, Luciano 146, Nathan 143, Matt 138, Phil 128, Angelo 123) , and Tim (75) chose poorly with Luis Diaz. Viewtiful Spurs played a Free Hit for 120 while Fraser and Chris played the bench boost for 127 and 92 respectively. Seven teams played the new Assistant Manager chip with Luis (131) and Tim (117) both opting for Arne Slot while Joel (145), Adam (141), Mike (137), Sam and Neil (both 116) all putting their faith in David Moyes hoping for the extra points on offer from the Liverpool game.

It’s a quick turnaround after the longest gameweek ever as the next deadline is Friday night with Aston Villa and Liverpool both entering another double gameweek.

Thanks for reading.
