Once again the big scores on the week come from the, less, top, part of the league. At the top Joel is holding on to first place on 1826 points and scoring 58 for the week, his score coming from Daniel Munoz, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jurien Timber, Justin Kluivert, Bruno Fernandes, and captain Mo Salah. Luis is up to second and closed by three points leaving him on 1819 for the season, his 61 points came from Matz Sels, Alexander-Arnold and Ola Aina, Kluivert, Bryan Mbeumo, Yoanne Wissa and captain Salah. Long time leader David is back in third now on 1814 for the season, his 51 for the week came from Virgil Van Dijk, Aina, Morgan Rogers, Mbeumo, Salah, captain Cole Palmer and Jean Phillipe Mateta. Top score for the week came from Chris who rose to 26th in the league as a result of his 85 points which came from Sels, Van Dijk, Gabriel, Marc Cucurella, Kluivert, Christopher Nkunku, captain Salah, Mateta and his Assistant Manager David Moyes.
Phil opted for his Wildcard chip last week and is off to a shaky start of 50 points, he’ll be particularly annoyed with Matheus Cunha’s antics in the FA Cup at the weekend leading to a ban of at least three Premier League games, he’s not alone. Jake took a -4 and played his bench boost for 71 points, probably quite peeved that Alexander Isak missed his game with a slight knock. Eleven other managers had their Assistant manager chip in play, Pilch (55) and ViewtifulSpurs (45) went with Ange Postecoglou for zero points as Spurs lost 0-1 at home to Man City; Luciano, Fraser and Christian all went with Vitor Pereira for one points as Wolves lost 1-2 to Fulham; Chris (85), Matt (62) and Gary (60) all went with Moyes for his 4 points; Lou had Glasner again for another monster haul of 20 points as Crystal Palace thumped Aston Villa 4-1 at home; Mark and Dave went with Glasner’s opposite manager Unai Emery for one point.
With FA Cup and European fixtures between gameweeks there’s been plenty of opportunity for things to happen involving players in squads, Mateta has had a nasty injury to his ear, Cunha has picked up a ban and Antony Gordon joined him in the sin bin with a straight red in the FA Cup. Next deadline is at 11 am GMT on Saturday 8th March.
