Joel is holding on to top spot with 1940 points having added a net 51 points during week 29, Jurien Timber, Anthony Elanga and Bruno Fernandes bringing home the bacon. Luis remains second scoring 53 on the week to leave him 8 points behind Joel, Fernandes again featuring alongside Antonee Robinson, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoanne Wissa. David lost some ground having scored 39 for the week, his points coming from Milos Kerkez, Noussair Mazraoui, Mbeumo and Jorgen Strand-Larsen. Top score for the week was 83 points from Adam, however he took a four point hit so the biggest net gain was for Christian with 82 points, he played the Free Hit chip and was rewarded with returns from captain Bruno Fernandes, Kerkez, Andre Onana, Nikola Milenkovic, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush.
Five other managers opted to use their Free Hit chip to navigate the reduced gameweek, Matt scored 54, Mike scored 72, Gary and Mark both scored 58, while Chris got 44. There were also five Assistant Manager chips in play , i11usiveMan had Graham Potter for four points, Viewtiful Spurs had Ange Postecoglou for zero, Fraser had Vitor Pereira for eight points, Luciano had David Moyes for four points and Scott had Fabian Hurzeler for five points. In addition to those chips ten managers took points hits to make changes; Fraser, Luciano, Neil and Andy all took 8 point hits, while i11usiveMan, Joel, Nathan, Adam, Tim and Phil all took four points.
As we come out of an international break and FA Cup quarter finals there are multiple players flagged with injuries ahead of the next Premier League fixtures that could be giving managers a few headaches. On the plus side we now know the teams that won’t be playing in Gameweek 34, Arsenal v Crystal Palace, Aston Villa v Man City and Nottingham Forest v Brentford will all be moved to another gameweek leaving just seven games to be played. With nine weeks to go and many people with chips to play there’s still time for big changes to our league’s positions if things go to plan.
