Joel sits top on 2037 points for the season having played his Wildcard and scoring 41 points in a week where the average was just 34 with many highly owned players underwhelming, Joel had points returns from Daniel Munoz, Josko Gvardiol and Jean Phillipe Mateta, leaving Morgan Rogers and Dan burn on the bench with decent hauls will sting a bit, but the squad looks set nicely for the coming weeks. David moves up into second place on 2023 after scoring 46 for the week, he got returns from Noussair Mazraoui, Rogers, Jorgen Strand-Larsen and his Assistant Manger Oliver Glasner. Dropping in to third place is Luis, his 37 points for the week leaves him two points behind David and his points came from Dan Burn, Jarrod Bowen, and Mateta. Top score of the week came from Adam with 67, he had Munoz, Burn, Gvardiol and Mateta and also got returns from Ebereche Eze and Jacob Murphy.
Tim also played his Wildcard and is off to a disappointing start with returns from just Strand Larsen and Luis Diaz. Jake was another player with the Assistant Manager chip active and his faith in Ruben Amorim was repaid with 10 points as United held City to a drab 0-0 draw in the Manchester derby. Remaining chips are becoming thin on the ground, particularly at the top end of the table, with Free Hit yet to be played by nineteen managers, Bench Boost by eighteen, Second Wildcard by fourteen, Triple Captain by ten and Assistant Manager by ten.
It’s the business end of the season as the fixtures come thick and fast for those in multiple competitions so squad rotation and injuries could yet scupper the plans of many a Fantasy manager so moves can still be made and positions are far from finalised, however the top 5 do appear to have some breathing room from the rest of the league. It will be interesting to see if anyone can really play their cards right and make big moves.
