A good week for David at first glance as his 70 points for the week take him nine points clear on 2182 overall, the Assistant Manager chip proving it’s power as Oliver Glasner bagged 15 points alongside returns from Dean Henderson, Milos Kerkez, Josko Gvardiol, Morgan Rogers and Jean-Phillipe Mateta, captain Bukayo Saka was a flop, scoring just two points in his double gameweek as his minutes continue to be managed. Joel stays second scoring 62 for the week, David Raya, Daniel Munoz, William Saliba, Gvardiol, Rogers and Mateta bringing home nice hauls while captain Omar Marmoush was a little underwhelming scoring four points. Up into third place is Adam, a net gain of 83 points on the week thanks to a Bench Boost that included points from Raya, Munoz, Gvardiol, Jacob Kiwior, Ebereche Eze, Mateta, Marmoush, Rogers and Conor Bradley. Our top score of the week came from ChipperSpice, another Bench Booster, points coming from all over the place including Virgil Van Dijk, Munoz, Gvardiol, Maxence Lacroix, Bryan Mbeumo, Martin Odegaard, Alex Iwobi, Anthony Elanga, Yoanne Wissa, Ollie Watkins and Mateta, the only let down was captain Saka, Fair Play.
On to chips then, four Free Hits from Neil (77), Tim (73), Angelo (68) and Dave (55), all hoping for more I’m sure but some were better than others. Five teams had the Bench Boost chip in play, in addition to Adam and ChipperSpice were Gary (96), Luciano (68) and Christian (67). Finally there was another Assistant Manager chip in play, Phil had Guardiola for 93 points but took a twelve point hit to get there and our leader David as mentioned above.
The big news this week is it’s a cup weekend, yeah there’s FA Cup semi-finals but no-one cares about that anymore, no it’s the start of the Sealpod League of Leg Ends Cup in Gameweek 34 and we have the perfect number of teams so everybody will have a fixture and no byes. Another chance for glory but who will take their chances / get lucky with injuries and squad rotations? The aforementioned FA Cup Semi-finals could yet impact plans for the rest of the season as fixtures may need to be moved outside of Gameweek 37 depending on who reaches the Cup Final that takes place alongside that week of the Premier League season.
